About 9:45 this morning I was laying on the table and watching my precious baby move around inside me. The ultrasongrapher asked "do you want to know what you are having"? Really? Of course. Who can plan for a baby without knowing. Pink or blue??? There is a big difference. She started poking around and said "look HE has his hand over it"!! LOL...must be a boy!!! A tear started running down my face. I would have been very happy and blessed with a boy or a girl, but having 2 girls already I was very excited to be having a boy!! He is growing perfectly and everything looks great!!
Leah and Addy are staying at my parents this week because I leave in the morning for a conference in Dallas. I called Leah and told her she was having a baby brother. She said "I already knew that!" She has been stuck on having a brother so she would have been really shocked if it were another sister.
So, everyone is very excited and we cannot wait to meet our new addition in July!!!

BIG weekend...

The girls got their own room and Leah got to pick out her Hannah Montana bedding. She is so excited to have her "own" room and not have to share with her little sister!!!!

AND...Addy started potty training!! She picked out dora and elmos panties and we are going to the potty...well...atleast most of the time :)

So, we have had a full weekend. My girls are growing up so fast!!! Before we know it this little miracle growing inside of me will be potty training and picking out his/her own bedding. I cherish every moment!!!!
OH, and I am 17 weeks pregnant today. One more week and we will know if this precious baby is a boy or girl :)

Leah Grace is 4!!!
October 19, 2005 at 6:25 p.m. God blessed me with the arrival of my first born, Leah Grace. From the moment I saw her I was in LOVE! Today she turned 4 years old. I just put her in bed a few minutes ago and laid there holding her thinking about the last four years. She is so unique and amazing. She is smart and funny and loving. She loves to sing and dance and make people laugh. I am so blessed to be her mommy and am looking forward to the adventures the next four years will hold for us. There is no love in the world like a mothers love. Today on the way home from the babysitter she told me "thank you mommy for my birthday and all my presents...i love you soooo much"! Those words make it all worth it. I love you too baby girl!!!!

Life in FAST FORWARD!!!
Have you ever felt like you are living life in fast forward? The last couple have months have been just like that. I started a new job at the end of August and it seems like since that time my life has passed me by in fast forward. I cannot believe October is half way over and Leah Grace will be 4 years old in a week. I love my job, but I must say it keeps me busy! Add being a single mom to that and...where does the time go?
Leah and Addy are growing up so fast right in front of me. Leah will be 4 years old on the 19th and I look back and can remember 9 months of sickness and the best labor a person could ask for. Fenigren, epidural and lots of sleep! You know you are doing good when you wake up 45 mintues before your daughter is born and the epidural works so good the doctor has to tell you when you are having a contraction to push...3 pushes later...Leah was born! I am pretty sure my mom and dad worked harder that day than I did.
Looking back on the last 4 years it seems like a huge roller coaster with many ups and downs. Since Leah was born, we have moved 9 times in 6 different cities/towns. We have been through so much, but we have never been apart. Now her, Addy and I live in Katy, TX and I am so happy to say that I plan on making this "home". My goal is to be in a house before she starts school and be settled. I want to give my girls stability and love and I want them to grow up in a Godly home with TONS OF LOVE!!!!!
I don't know about the rest of you, but "mommy" is the BEST title I could ever have. They depend so much on me and although I make mistakes everything I do I do for those 2 precious girls! Happy early 4th birthday to my big girl!!

New to this...

Well, I have never done a blog before, but my friend Paige has a blog and I keep up with it every chance I get. I have also seen some of her friends blogs and read other mommies stories. I am hoping it will be an opportunity for me to share some of my feelings and even get advice from other mommies out there.
As most of you that know me will know I am a single mom of two beautiful baby girls. Leah Grace will be 4 in October. I cannot believe how fast she has grown. It seems like just yesterday I was sick everyday praying that she would hurry up and be born. Now she is all grown up (or so she thinks). She is my little drama queen. She took her first ballet class last year and loved it, but now she is into cheerleading and wants to play basketball (atleast I want her to)haha! Adyson Faith is 20 months old, talking, walking and getting into everything. She definitely keeps me on my toes. She is my little busy body. She has just figured out that she loves shoes as much as her sister and mommy. She has to take her shoes off as soon as we come in so she can come get my heals on. My girls are a wonderful gift from God and I would not trade them for anything in this world. I am so blessed to be Leah and Addy's mommy!
I just moved to Katy from Houston and started working for Verde Apartment Communities. I am very excited about my career with them. I am managing a 300 unit apartment community that was built in 2007. It is a very challenging job and I am still getting my handle on things, but I am loving every minute of it. I am so blessed to be able to provide for Leah and Addy on my own. I know there are so many single moms out there really struggling. I am not saying I never struggle, but I count my blessings and realize that so many have it much worse than we do.
So, that is a small snapshot of my life with Leah and Addy. More to come...
